Jamboree On The Trail is an international event held on the second Saturday each May. Scouts of all ages from around the world hit the trails wherever they might be. Our event is in conjunction with the Northeast Georgia Council Day of Service project that will include trail maintenance and landscaping. Come and help or just come hike.
Either way, bring good walking shoes and a water bottle. There is no cost to attend. 2018 JOTT patches are $4 each. Proceeds of the patch
sale support the work of the NEGA Council International Committee.
If you want to receive patches during the event, please register by April 15 at http://jotform.us/form/50346670922152 or contact Phil Krajec This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Attention Scouts and Scouters,
Memorial Day is just around the corner so that means it’s time to get ready for the 25th Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade! The theme of this year’s parade is “We Pause to Honor Our Fallen”.
I invite all Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs to participate in the Memorial Day parade in Dacula. I encourage each of my fellow Scouters to consider this opportunity for your Troop or Pack to reflect on the significance of Memorial Day and pay respect to the men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice with their service to our country by participating in the 25th Annual Memorial Day Parade in Dacula on Monday, May 28, 2018. Deadline to register is Friday, May 18, 2018.
This year, all Troops and Packs will march together in a column as a ‘united group’ with all Scouts and Scouters in Class A uniform, proudly carrying a 3 ft x 5 ft American flag in the parade. I feel that this united group of Scouts will be an impressive show of patriotism.
Also, to celebrate the 25th Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade, a Limited Edition Scout participation patch will be given to all Scouts that participate in this year’s parade! I do need you to let me know as soon as possible, how many will be participating from your Troop or Pack so that I know how many patches to order.
It is important that we recognize this opportunity to make sure our Scouts are aware of the sacrifice made by thousands of men and women who died guarding our precious liberties, our freedom and our way of life.
Parade staging and lineup begins as early as 7 AM at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula. The parade steps off promptly at 10 AM, rain or shine!
